In 2017 we organized a “core labor economics” workshop with the title “Wages and the labor market”. The workshop was well received among the participants and we promised a sequel, so here it is! The workshop will be held in Helsinki, Finland on 24 – 25 August 2023.
Call for papers is out now. Please submit your paper before 30 April.
We are honoured to be able to announce two excellent keynotes speakers: Attila Lindner and Andrea Weber.
In total, we will have around ten papers and two keynote addresses and we invite all interested parties to submit their work on wages, employment and inequality for consideration at the workshop.
On top of the two keynotes, our current list of confirmed speakers includes: Manudeep Bhuller (Oslo), Ines Helm (Munich) and Matti Sarvimäki (Aalto).
The venue will be Economicum in Helsinki, adjacent to the Helsinki city center. For presenters, we will reimburse travel costs and provide lodging at hotel Presidentti, 200 meters from Economicum and very close to railway transport from the airport. We will have two days of presentations as well as a conference dinner on the 24th.
The workshop is jointly organized by the Finnish centre of excellence in Tax Systems Research, VATT Institute for Economic Research and Uppsala Center for Labor Studies at Uppsala University.
